Color (色 Iro) is one of the parameters possessed by a card.
A card may have one or more of the five possible colors, each representing one of the 5 future worlds:
In addition, there also exist colorless cards, which are represented with a grey circle (known as "None") or sometimes, a generic Ignition Icon or various other symbols. Set 16 also introduced multicolor cards, albeit only for Z/X Extra and later extended to other card types that can be included in the Dynamis. Multicolor cards that can be included in the main deck would not exist until Set 40, and all also come with the Multicolor Icon, unlike the multicolor cards in Dynamis.
The color of a card is indicated by the Color Icon, which is located in the upper left side of the card (for cards with the old frame) or the upper right corner of the card (for cards with newer frames), and is used to determine how the card's Cost is paid and what kind of Resource it provides.
Storywise, a card's color might also denote from which world that card comes and/or its affiliation. For multicolor cards, the topmost color on the card usually denotes its origin and/or main affiliation.
